Environment
- BlackBerry® Enterprise Server for Microsoft® Exchange
- BlackBerry smartphone
Overview
The Address Book on the BlackBerry smartphone does not synchronize with Microsoft® Outlook®.
Resolution
To resolve the Address Book synchronization problem, perform the following steps:
- Make sure the MAPI32.dll file on the BlackBerry Enterprise Server is the correct version. For information on MAPI32.dll versions, see KB02542.
- Verify the Microsoft Extensible Markup Language Parser (MSXML) is version 4.0 Service Pack 2.
- On the BlackBerry smartphone, select the Address Book.
- Click the trackwheel or trackball and select Options.
- Make sure that the Wireless Synchronization field is set to Yes.
- Change the Wireless Synchronization field to No.
- Click the trackwheel or trackball and select Save.
- Go back into Options and set Wireless Synchronization back to Yes.
- Click the trackwheel or trackball and select Save.
- Test synchronization by adding a contact in the Address Book of the BlackBerry smartphone.
