Environment
- BlackBerry® Connect™ software
- BlackBerry® Connect™ for the HTC™ Tilt
- BlackBerry® Connect™ for the Motorola® Q
- BlackBerry® Enterprise Server version 4.1
Overview
The following error message appears on the BlackBerry® enabled device during attempted activation of an HTC Tilt or a Motorola Q smartphone over the wireless network:
Verifying Encryption Keys. Encryption Keys Verified. An error has occurred. Please contact the system administrator.
Cause
The Enterprise Service Policy might not include models of smartphones other than BlackBerry smartphones. For more information about the Enterprise Service Policy, see KB04861.
Resolution
Confirm that the Enterprise Service Policy includes models of smartphones other than BlackBerry smartphones.
If this resolution does not work;
- Turn off the Enterprise Service Policy. For instructions on how to turn off the Enterprise Service Policy, see KB14510.
- Perform an activation of the BlackBerry enabled device over the wireless network.
- Turn on the Enterprise Service Policy. For instructions on how to turn on the Enterprise Service Policy, please see KB10231.
