KB14510 - Enterprise Activation fails because Enterprise Service Policy was enabled
Environment
- BlackBerry® Enterprise Server
- BlackBerry smartphone
Overview
The enterprise activation process fails immediately after selecting activate with the following error message:
An error has occurred. Please contact your System Administrator. The BlackBerry Enterprise Server Microsoft® Event Viewer Application log shows the following warning message:
User is not authorized for BlackBerry services.
Cause
The BlackBerry Enterprise Server administrator has enabled the Enterprise Server Policy.
Resolution
Verify the Enterprise Service Policy is enabled and confirm with the BlackBerry Enterprise Server administrator before disabling the Enterprise Service Policy.
To disable the Enterprise Service Policy complete the following steps:
- Open BlackBerry Manager.
- Go to Global Tab > Tasks.
- Expand the Service Control & Customization menu.
- Select Disable Enterprise Service Policy.
Try the enterprise activation process again.
