Environment
- BlackBerry® Enterprise Server for Microsoft® Exchange
Overview
One BlackBerry smartphone user is unable to send email messages. The BlackBerry smartphone user gets a red x or an error message. The desktop email application is unable to submit email messages.
Cause
Send as permission is not set or is being revoked for this particular BlackBerry smartphone user.
Resolution
To resolve this issue, complete the following tasks:
- Remove user from Microsoft protected group
- Set send as permission for that user
- Delete user from BlackBerry Manager
- Wait 2 hours
- Add user to BlackBerry Manager
- Enterprise Activate that user
