KB10632 - The Unread Message notification icon is not cleared after reading or deleting a message
Environment
Overview
The unread counter does not change when the BlackBerry smartphone user reads or deletes email messages on the BlackBerry smartphone.
Cause
This problem could also be caused by phone call logs or Short Message Service (SMS) messages on the BlackBerry smartphone. To clear these databases, follow the instructions in KB10167, selecting Phone Call Log or SMS Messages from the Device Databases list.
Resolution
Clear the Messages database from the BlackBerry smartphone. For instructions, see
