Environment
- BlackBerry® Enterprise Server version 4.1.x
Overview
When trying to set up an activation password or generate an email activation password, you receive the following message:
Device Activation Warning
Cause
Wireless enterprise activation is initiated by an email message being sent from the blackberry.net domain to the BlackBerry smartphone user's email account with an ETP.DAT attachment.
Resolution
To ensure this email is not blocked or modified, the blackberry.net domain should be whitelisted against any anti-virus, anti-spam, or blacklisting software utilized by the email system or gateway.
Additional Information
This is only an information message to advise on the functionality of the BlackBerry Enterprise Server. You can chose to select "Don't show this again." if you do not wish to see this message again. This message does not indicate an issue with neither the BlackBerry Manager nor the BlackBerry Enterprise Server.
