Default KB15614 - Novell Groupwise Messenger login failure displays on the BlackBerry..

KB15614 - Novell Groupwise Messenger login failure displays on the BlackBerry smartphone

Environment

* BlackBerry® Enterprise Server software version 4.1 Service Pack 2 (4.1.2) and later for Novell® GroupWise®
* BlackBerry® Client for Novell® Groupwise® Messenger 2.0 and earlier

Problem

BlackBerry Client for Novell GroupWise Messenger displays the following login failure error message on the BlackBerry smartphone:

Unknown error: d15e

Cause

BlackBerry Enterprise Server software version 4.1.2 and later require BlackBerry Client for Novell Groupwise Messenger version 2.0.1 and later in order to support the Show Mobile Icon property.

You can control whether an icon appears on the BlackBerry smartphone beside the names of contacts who are using the same enterprise instant messaging application. By default, the icon is turned on.

Resolution

Make sure that you are using BlackBerry Enterprise Server for Novell GroupWise software version 4.1 Service Pack 3 (4.1.3) and later. Edit the value in BlackBerry Manager as follows:

Important: Restarting certain BlackBerry Enterprise Server services will delay email message delivery to BlackBerry smartphones. For more information, see KB04789.

1. Click BlackBerry Collaboration Service under Servers.
2. Click Edit Properties under the Collaboration Service tab.
3. Set Show Mobile Icon to False.
4. Restart the BlackBerry Collaboration Service.
5. Resend service books.
