KB18825 - BlackBerry Router constantly restarts and the SRP shows disconnected

Environment

BlackBerry® Enterprise Server version 5.0 for Microsoft® Exchange

Overview

The BlackBerry Router service is constantly restarting and you see the following lines in the BlackBerry Router log files:

Cause

There is a third party application on the BlackBerry Enterprise Server that is using the same memory handler that the BlackBerry Router is attempting to use.

Resolution

This is a previously reported issue that has been escalated internally to our development team. No resolution time frame is currently available.

Workaround

Set the BlackBerry Router service to log on as the Local System account. This will cause the BlackBerry Router to use a different memory handler.
