KB10379 - Service books for the BlackBerry Internet Service have been disallowed on the BlackBerry smartphone
Environment
- BlackBerry® Enterprise Server
- BlackBerry® Internet Service
- BlackBerry® smartphone
Overview
A BlackBerry smartphone that is or used to be associated with a BlackBerry Enterprise Server is not able to accept service books for a BlackBerry Internet Service account. The service books are rejected by the BlackBerry smartphone.
A rejected service book is displayed by a circle with a slash through it instead of a check mark beside the [CMIME] service book .
Cause
An IT policy on the BlackBerry smartphone is disallowing email services other than the email service associated with a BlackBerry Enterprise Server, including the BlackBerry Internet Service and other BlackBerry Enterprise Servers.
Resolution
If the BlackBerry smartphone is associated with a BlackBerry Enterprise Server, ask the BlackBerry Enterprise Server administrator to send the BlackBerry smartphone a new IT policy that is blank or less restrictive regarding email services. For more information, refer to KB02022.
If the BlackBerry smartphone is no longer associated with a BlackBerry Enterprise Server, but the IT Policy is still on the BlackBerry smartphone, refer to KB14202.
