KB15144 - Secondary SMTP address shows in BlackBerry Manager when a user account is added to the BlackBerry Enterprise Server
Environment
* BlackBerry® Enterprise Server software version 3.6 to 4.1 for Microsoft® Exchange
Overview
When a BlackBerry smartphone user is added to the BlackBerry Enterprise Server, BlackBerry Manager initially shows the secondary Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) address for the BlackBerry smartphone user instead of the primary SMTP address.
The secondary email address is the first email address in the email addresses list in Microsoft® Active Directory®. This is by design. Allow a few seconds for the BlackBerry Enterprise Server to update the SMTP address to the primary SMTP address for the newly added BlackBerry smartphone user. Click
Refresh in BlackBerry Manager to see the primary SMTP address for the BlackBerry smartphone user.
