Cause
Summary of Causes
This issue may be caused by one of the following:

- The cdo.dll file has not been registered.
- There are incorrect BlackBerry Enterprise Server service account permissions.
Resolution
Cause 1
Wireless calendar synchronization is not turned on.

- Select Calendar, and then click Choose.
- Under Available Applications, select MS Outlook.
- Click OK.
- Select the Calendar check box and click OK.
- Confirm Synchronize PIM is selected, and then click Synchronize Now.

- Click Choose.
- Select the BlackBerry Wireless Sync translator, and then click OK.
- Click OK to close the Configuration window.
- In the Intellisync® window, confirm that Synchronize PIM is selected, and then click Synchronize now.
Cause 2
The cdo.dll file has not been registered.
Resolution 2
Unregister and re-register the cdo.dll file. To do this, complete the following steps:
- Stop all the BlackBerry Enterprise Server services.
- Click Start > Run.
- Type regsvr32 CDO.DLL -u
- To register the cdo.dll file, see KB02937.
- Start all the BlackBerry Enterprise Server services.
Important: Restarting certain BlackBerry Enterprise Server services will delay email message delivery to BlackBerry smartphones. For more information, see KB04789.
Cause 3
There are incorrect BlackBerry Enterprise Server service account permissions.
Resolution 3
- Verify that permissions are correctly specified. For instructions, see KB02276.
- If the permissions are incorrect, switch the BlackBerry Enterprise Server service account.
For BlackBerry Enterprise Server software version 4.0 and 4.1 instructions, see KB04293.
For BlackBerry Enterprise Server software version 3.6 instructions, see KB04334.
