KB18325 - How to change the BlackBerry Enterprise Server instances that the BlackBerry MVS Connection Service monitors
Environment
- BlackBerry® Mobile Voice System version 4.6
- BlackBerry® smartphones
Overview
If the organization's environment includes multiple BlackBerry® Enterprise Server instances in a BlackBerry Domain, by default, the BlackBerry MVS Connection Service monitors all instances for data messages.
Before changing the BlackBerry Enterprise Server instances that the BlackBerry MVS Connection Service monitors, complete the following tasks:
- Verify the host name of each BlackBerry Enterprise Server.
- Verify that the site administrator permissions are present to perform this task.
Once the above taks have been confirmed, complete the following steps:
- Log in to the BlackBerry MVS web UI of the BlackBerry MVS Server that connects to the BlackBerry Enterprise Server.
- On the Administration menu, click BlackBerry Enterprise Server Connection.
- In the BlackBerry Enterprise Servers section, click Add.
- In the Host Name field, type the host name of the BlackBerry Enterprise Server instance.
- Perform one of the following actions:
- To continue monitoring the BlackBerry Enterprise Server, select the Enable Connector check box.
- To stop monitoring the BlackBerry Enterprise Server, leave the Enable Connector check box blank.
- Click Save.
Note: Repeat steps 3 to 6 for each BlackBerry Enterprise Server instance that you want the BlackBerry MVS Connection Service to monitor.
After all of the above changes have been made, restart the BlackBerry MVS Connection Service.
