KB18326 - How to add a media gateway to the list of trusted servers
KB18326 - How to add a media gateway to the list of trusted servers
Environment
- BlackBerry® Mobile Voice System version 4.6
- BlackBerry® smartphones
Overview
During the BlackBerry MVS version 4.6 installation process, add the information for one media gateway that is connected to a BlackBerry® MVS Server. If the organization's environment includes multiple media gateways that are connected to a BlackBerry MVS Server, the connection information for each additional media gateway must be added.
Before adding a media gateway to the list of trusted servers, complete the following tasks:
- Verify the Internet Protocol (IP) address of each media gateway.
- Verify that the site administrator permissions are present to perform this task.
Once the above tasks have been confirmed, complete the following steps:
- On the Administration menu in the BlackBerry MVS web UI, click Configurations.
- Perform one of the following actions:
- To change the active configuration set, click Duplicate beside the configuration set. Beside the new configuration set,
click Edit.
- To change a configuration set that is not active, click Edit beside the appropriate configuration set.
- Click Trusted Servers.
- Click Add.
- In the IP address field, type the IP address of the media gateway.
- Click Save.
- Click Save.
Note: Repeat steps 4 to 7 for each additional media gateway that is connected to the BlackBerry MVS Server.
After all of the above changes have been made, activate the configuration set.
