KB18376 - How to change the secure connection password on BlackBerry Mobile Voice System 4.6

Environment

  • BlackBerry® Mobile Voice System version 4.6
  • BlackBerry® smartphones

Overview

To change the secure connection password on BlackBerry MVS version 4.6, complete the following steps:
  1. Log in to the BlackBerry MVS web UI of the BlackBerry MVS Server that connects to the BlackBerry Enterprise Server.
  2. From the Administration menu, click BlackBerry Enterprise Server Connection.
  3. In the BlackBerry Enterprise Servers section, perform one of the following actions:
    • If the BlackBerry Enterprise Server that the BlackBerry MVS Connection Service connects to appears in the BlackBerry Enterprise Servers section, click Edit beside the name of the BlackBerry Enterprise Server.
    • If the BlackBerry Enterprise Server that the BlackBerry MVS Connection Service connects to does not appear in the BlackBerry Enterprise Servers section, click Add. In the Host Name field, type the host name of the BlackBerry Enterprise Server. Select the Enable Connector check box.
  4. In the Dispatcher Password and Confirm Password fields, type and confirm the secure connection password.
  5. Click Save.
Note: If the organization's environment includes multiple BlackBerry Enterprise Server instances in a BlackBerry Domain, repeat steps 3 to 5 for each BlackBerry Enterprise Server that the BlackBerry MVS Connection Service connects to.
To apply the above changes, restart the BlackBerry MVS Connection Service.
