Environment
- BlackBerry® Enterprise Server
- BlackBerry® Internet Service
- BlackBerry smartphone
Overview
You do not have the option to reply to or forward an email message on your BlackBerry smartphone.
Cause
This issue may be caused by one of the following:
- If your BlackBerry smartphone is associated with a BlackBerry Internet Service account, the BlackBerry Internet Service service book may be corrupted or missing on your BlackBerry smartphone.
- If your BlackBerry smartphone is associated with a BlackBerry Enterprise Server, the Desktop [CMIME] service book may be corrupted or missing on your BlackBerry smartphone.
Resolution
Complete the appropriate resolution.
Cause 1
If your BlackBerry smartphone is associated with a BlackBerry Internet Service account, the BlackBerry Internet Service service book may be corrupted or missing on your BlackBerry smartphone.
Resolution 1
Complete the following steps:
- Delete the BlackBerry Internet Service service book. For instructions on how to delete a service book, see KB05000.
- From your BlackBerry Internet Service account, send new service books to your BlackBerry smartphone. For instructions on how to send service books, see KB02830.
Cause 2
If your BlackBerry smartphone is associated with a BlackBerry Enterprise Server, the Desktop [CMIME] service book may be corrupted or missing on your BlackBerry smartphone.
Resolution 2
Complete the following steps:
- Clear the Service Book database. For instructions on how to clear the Service Book database, see KB05010.
- Generate a new encryption key. For instructions on how to generate a new encryption key, see KB02740.
