KB18692 - How to migrate users to BlackBerry Enterprise Server 5.0 using BlackBerry Enterprise transporter
Environment
- BlackBerry® Enterprise Server version 5.0
Overview
Preform the following steps to use the BlackBerry® Enterprise Transporter to move one or more user accounts from one BlackBerry Domain to a different BlackBerry Domain:
Task 1: User Manifest
- Click New and create a new manifest.
Task 2: Manifest Configuration

- Configure Source Database window with the following information:
- From the Label drop-down list, click .
- Specify a new label name.
- In the SQL Server field, specify the Microsoft® SQL Server® name from the source database.
- In the Authentication drop-down list, choose the authentication mode.
- In the Database field, specify the BlackBerry Configuration Database name.
- Click Test Connection to test the connection.

- Configure the Configure Destination Database window with the following information:
- From the Label drop-down list, click LocalSqlServer.
- In the SQL Server field, specify the Microsoft SQL Server name.
- In the Authentication drop-down list, choose the authentication mode.
- In the Database field, specify the BlackBerry Configuration Database name.
Task 3: Manifest configuration
- Click Detail.
- Select the new BlackBerry Enterprise Server from the destination default setting.
- Select the old BlackBerry Enterprise Server name and click Find user.
- Select the user and click Done.
Task 4: Select preview
- Specify the user name, password and domain name to log into the BlackBerry Administration Service.
Task 5: Migration
- Click Migrate to complete the migration.
