KB18486 - "Not BlackBerry enabled" error is displayed when logging into BlackBerry Web Desktop Manager
Environment
- BlackBerry® Enterprise Server version 5.0 for Microsoft® Exchange
- BlackBerry® Web Desktop Manager
- SDR350046
Overview
After successfully logging into BlackBerry Web Desktop Manager, you receive the following message: Not BlackBerry enabled
Cause
An administrator account was created for a user before being added as a BlackBerry enabled user.
Resolution
This is a previously reported issue that has been escalated internally to our development team. No resolution time frame is currently available.
Workaround
An administrator account was created for a user before being added as a BlackBerry enabled user.
To verify the affected user has two accounts listed complete the following:
- Log in to the BlackBerry® Administration Service.
- Click on Administrator user.
- Select Manage Users.
- Click Search.
- From the results verify if the affected user is listed twice.
- Check both accounts to see which one is not BlackBerry enabled.
- Delete the Administrator user that is not BlackBerry enabled.
To add a role for a BlackBerry enabled user complete the following:
- Log in to the BlackBerry Administration Service.
- Select the plus symbol next to User.
- Click Manage users.
- Click Search.
- From the results, click on the user.
- Select the Roles tab.
- Click Edit User and add the appropriate role.
- Click Save all.
