KB04903 - Caller information does not display on the Incoming Call screen
Environment
- BlackBerry® Device Software 4.0 to 4.2
- BlackBerry smartphones
Overview
Caller information does not display on the Incoming Call screen when the BlackBerry smartphone is holstered and locked. Caller information displays on the Incoming Call screen when the BlackBerry smartphone is unlocked.
Cause
This issue may be caused by one of the following:
- The Content Protection option on the BlackBerry smartphone is turned on.
- The incoming call originates from a blocked network.
Resolution
Complete the appropriate resolution for the cause.
Cause 1
The Content Protection option on the BlackBerry smartphone is turned on.
Resolution
Turn off the Content Protection option. For instructions, see KB11963.
Cause 2
The incoming call originates from a blocked network.
Resolution
For the caller information to display on the Incoming Call screen, the caller must place the call from a network that is not blocked.
