KB17273 - Performance issues with incorrect PIM sync path information
Environment
- BlackBerry Enterprise Server for IBM Lotus Domino 4.1
- IBM Lotus Domino 6.0 to 7.0
Overview
The IBM Lotus Domino server has a large amount of open connections (approximately 2000) from the BlackBerry Enterprise Server after specifying invalid information in the PIM Sync relative path and server. Low memory issues may also occur on the BlackBerry Enterprise Server such as unresponsive tasks, mail files and servers cannot open, delays or slow performance.
Cause
This may be caused by some environmental factors but the root cause is the 'Location – Server' field was specified incorrectly.
'Location – Server' fields were not specified with a valid distinguished/canonical name of the Lotus Domino mail server where the PIM databases are located (for example, "servername@comapny.com" instead of "CN=/OU=/O=").
Resolution
To resolve this issue, type the correct information in the PIM Sync fields.
Ensure that for the 'Location – Server' fields are specified with the distinguished/canonical name of the Lotus Domino mail server where the PIM databases are located (for example, "CN=/OU=/OU=").
