Overview
The Bangladesh government announced on June 2, 2009 that Bangladesh will begin to observe Daylight Savings Time (DST) on June 19, 2009 at 23:00 where the time will be moved ahead one hour.
Resolution
This is a previously reported issue that has been escalated internally to our development team. No resolution time frame is currently available.
Workaround
For BlackBerry smartphone users currently residing in or traveling to Bangladesh it is recommended that they set their BlackBerry smartphone to the Bangkok (+7) timezone.
For BlackBerry smartphone users who are interacting with BlackBerry smartphone users in Bangladesh it is recommended that when creating a calendar event they set the timezone to Bangkok (+7).
Single Meeting instances and reoccurring meetings that start on or after June 19, 2009 may need to be manually adjusted to accommodate this change as the GMT offset has changed. BlackBerry smartphone users can manually change the times of the appointments in the BlackBerry smartphone Calendar to reflect the correct time by recreating the appointments using the Bangkok (+7) timezone.
