Environment
- BlackBerry® Enterprise Server software version 4.1 Service Pack x (4.1.x) for Microsoft® Exchange
- BlackBerry® Enterprise Server software version 4.0 Service Pack x (4.0.x) for Microsoft® Exchange
- SDR122430
Overview
When a file is attached to a contact in Microsoft® Outlook® without using the Add Contact Picture, the following log line is printed:
[40782] (00/00 00:00:00.000):{0x1234} {user@abc.com} GetContactPicture - No picture synced, filename is not ContactPicture.jpg
Cause
There are 3 different actions that would cause the above log line:- In Microsoft Outlook, open contact and attach a file using the attach button from the toolbar.
- In Microsoft Outlook, open contact and select Insert > File from the menu, attaching a file or picture.
- In Microsoft Outlook, open contact and select Insert > Item from the menu, attaching a picture or file.
Resolution
This is a previously reported issue that has been escalated internally to our development team. No resolution time frame is currently available.
Workaround
Add a contact picture using the picture button in Microsoft Outlook or by adding it from the BlackBerry smartphone.
