- S/MIME Support Package for BlackBerry® smartphones
BlackBerry® Enterprise Server
Overview
BlackBerry smartphone support PKCS#12 (.p12 and .pfx file extensions) digital certificates, including private keys, and digital certificates with .cer, .der, and .p7b file extensions.
BlackBerry smartphones support importing PKCS#12 private keys using the following methods:
- As email attachments (with BlackBerry Device Software version 4.2.2 or later and the S/MIME Support Package for BlackBerry smartphones installed on the BlackBerry smartphone)
- Using the certificate synchronization tool included in the BlackBerry Desktop Software
BlackBerry smartphones support importing certificates with .cer, .der, and .p7b file extensions using the following methods:
- As email attachments
- Using the certificate synchronization tool included in the BlackBerry Desktop Software
- Using an LDAP or LDAPS connection from the BlackBerry smartphone
- Using a link in a browser (supported with .cer format certificates only)
Additional Information
The BlackBerry S/MIME Support Package is installed with BlackBerry Device Software 4.5 and later.
