KB11632 - How to increase the number of email messages sent to a BlackBerry smartphone during the enterprise activation process
Environment
- BlackBerry® Professional Software
- BlackBerry® Enteprise Server version 4.0 - 5.0
Overview
Depending on the BlackBerry Enterprise Server version, complete one of the following procedures:
BlackBerry Enterprise Server version 5.0
- In the BlackBerry Administration Service, on the Servers and components menu, expand BlackBerry Solution topology > BlackBerry Domain > Component view > Email .
- Click the instance that you want to change.
- Click Edit instance.
- On the Messaging tab, in the Message prepopulation settings section, perform the following actions:
- To synchronize the body and headers of messages onto a BlackBerry smartphone, in the Send headers only drop-down list, click False.
- To specify the number of previous days that you want to synchronize messages from, in the Prepopulation by message age field, type a number from 0 to 14.
- To specify the maximum number of messages that you want to synchronize, in the Prepopulation by message count field, type a number from 0 to 750.
- Click Save all.
Note: BlackBerry Enterprise Server version 5.0 can support up to 14 days or 750 messages.
BlackBerry Enterprise Server version 4.1
- Open BlackBerry Manager.
- Choose the BlackBerry Enterprise Server name.
- On the Server Configuration tab, select Edit Properties.
- Click Messaging.
- In the Message pre-population section, type values for the maximum number of days and maximum number of email messages. Note: BlackBerry Enterprise Server version 4.1 Service Pack 3 or later can support up to 14 days or 750 messages.
BlackBerry Enterprise Server version 4.0
- Open BlackBerry Manager.
- Right-click the BlackBerry Enterprise Server name.
- Select BlackBerry Server Properties.
- On the Pre-population tab, type the values for the maximum number of days and maximum number of email messages. Note: BlackBerry Enterprise Server version 4.0 or earlier can support 7 days or 350 messages.
BlackBerry Professional Software
- Open BlackBerry Manager.
- Click the Home tab.
- Click Edit Server Properties.
- Click Messaging.
- In the Message Prepopulation section, type values for the maximum number of days and maximum number of messages. Note: BlackBerry Professional Software can support up to 14 days or 750 messages.
