KB10877 - How to remove a BlackBerry smartphone user from a BlackBerry Enterprise Server
Environment
- BlackBerry® Enterprise Server
Overview
Complete the following steps before removing the BlackBerry smartphone user from the BlackBerry Enterprise Server.
- Send the BlackBerry smartphone user a blank IT policy. For instructions on sending IT Policies, see KB02022.
- Remove all data and applications on the BlackBerry smartphone. For instructions, see KB02318.
- Delete the BlackBerry smartphone user from the BlackBerry Enterprise Server. For instructions, see KB11638.
Additional Information
If the BlackBerry smartphone user is remote and physical access to the BlackBerry smartphone is not available, data can be removed by using the Erase Data and Disable Handheld command from IT administration section. For more information, see KB04529. The BlackBerry smartphone user can then be removed from BlackBerry Enterprise Server.
