KB04939 - How to enable debug logging for BlackBerry Collaboration Service


Environment

  • BlackBerry® Enterprise Server version 4.1 for Microsoft® Exchange
  • BlackBerry® Client for use with Microsoft® Office Live Communications Server 2005
  • BlackBerry® Client for use with Microsoft® Office Communications Server 2007



Overview

To enable debug logging for the BlackBerry Collaboration Service, complete the following steps:
  1. Go to C:\Program Files\Research In Motion\Blackberry Enterprise Server\BBIM\Servers\\config.
  2. Open the rimpublic.property file using Microsoft Notepad.
  3. Type Logging.file.log.level=5 at the end of the file.
  4. Save and close the file.
  5. Restart the BlackBerry Collaboration Service.
