KB10418 - How to completely remove a BlackBerry device user from the BlackBerry Enterprise Server for IBM Lotus Domino

Environment

  • BlackBerry® Enterprise Server software version 2.2 and later
  • IBM® Lotus® Domino®

Overview

To completely remove a BlackBerry device user from the BlackBerry Enterprise Server, complete the following steps:
  1. From BlackBerry Manager, remove the BlackBerry device user account. For instructions, see KB11638.
  2. Verify that the BlackBerry device user account has been removed from the BlackBerry Configuration Database; the default name for this database is BESmgmt.
  3. Verify that the BlackBerry device user account has been removed from the BlackBerry profiles database including the x.Deleted folder. For instructions on removing the BlackBerry device user account from the x.Deleted folder, see KB04169. If the BlackBerry device user account has not been removed from the BlackBerry profiles database, see KB02211 for instructions on how to remove the account.
  4. Stop the BlackBerry Enterprise Server and IBM Lotus Domino Server.
  5. Manually delete all BlackBerry state databases for the BlackBerry device user.
  6. Restart the BlackBerry Enterprise Server and the IBM Lotus Domino Server.
Important: Restarting the BlackBerry Enterprise Server will delay email message delivery to BlackBerry devices. For more information, see KB04789.
