Overview
The BlackBerry Enterprise Server Migration Kit is composed of a permanent Server Routing Protocol (SRP) Identifier and Authentication Key that replaces the SRP Identifier and Authentication Key already in use in the environment. There is a 90-day overlap period wherein the permanent SRP Identifier and the existing SRP Identifier are both active. After 90 days, the existing SRP Identifier is disabled and cannot be re-enabled or extended.
While using the BlackBerry Enterprise Server Migration Kit, client access licenses (CALs) can be re-used from your original BlackBerry Enterprise Server in the database for the new BlackBerry Enterprise Server. This is considered part of the cost for the migration kit.
There is no software or additional configuration required to use the BlackBerry Enterprise Server Migration Kit. Contact the BlackBerry® Technical Support Services team to request a migration kit.
