Environment
- BlackBerry® smartphones with trackballs or touch screens
- BlackBerry® Device Software version 4.3 or later
- BlackBerry® Enterprise Server software version 4.1.6 and later
Overview
The following IT policies allow administrators to manage the Application Center.
Disable Carrier Directory
To prevent BlackBerry smartphone users from accessing the carrier directory in the Application Center, set Disable Carrier Directory to True.
If you do not set this IT policy, the default value of False is used.
Disable Application Center
To prevent BlackBerry smartphone users from accessing the Application Center, set Disable Application Center to True.
If you do not set this IT policy, the default value of False is used.
BlackBerry Enterprise Server software version 4.1.5 and earlier
An IT policy pack was created to add these two IT policies to existing BlackBerry Enterprise Server software. For information on how to complete this process, see KB16396.
