KB17246 - Adding a user to the BlackBerry Enterprise Server from the company directory
Environment
- BlackBerry® Enterprise Server software version 5.0
- SDR252740
Overview
With the introduction of BlackBerry Enterprise Server software version 5.0, the references of users in the company directory of a messaging server are refreshed on the BlackBerry Enterprise Server every 24 hours. The following two options are available for organizations that want to add a user manually to the BlackBerry Enterprise Server.
Option 1: Add user from company directory
When searching for a user from the Create User option in the BlackBerry Administration Service, the following option appears at the bottom of the screen:
Note: This option is only available if the search for a user returns a result. If the search does not return a result, this option is not present.
Option 2: Refresh available user list company directory
The entire company directory can be refreshed by clicking the following option:
Note: The length of time to complete this operation depends on the size of the company directory.
