KB10112 - How to check or add Client Access License keys on the BlackBerry Enterprise Server
Environment
- BlackBerry® Enterprise Server version 3.5 to 5.0
- BlackBerry® Professional Software
Overview
To add a new Client Access License (CAL) authentication key, complete one of the following sets of steps, depending on the version of BlackBerry Enterprise Server software:
For BlackBerry Enterprise Server versions 3.5 and 3.6
- Open BlackBerry Enterprise Server Management console.
- Right-click BlackBerry Server Management and then click Properties.
- On the License tab, specify the new CAL authentication key and then click Add License.
For BlackBerry Enterprise Server version 4.0
- Open BlackBerry Manager.
- Right-click BlackBerry Manager and then click Properties.
- On the License tab, specify the new CAL authentication key and then click Add License.
For BlackBerry Enterprise Server version 4.1
- Open BlackBerry Manager.
- Click BlackBerry Domain.
- On the Global tab, expand the Account section and then click License Management.
- Specify the new CAL authentication key and then click Add License.
For BlackBerry Professional Software
- Open BlackBerry Manager.
- Click the Home tab.
- Under the Account task, select License Management.
- Specify the new CAL authentication key and then click Add License.
For BlackBerry Enterprise Server version 5.0
- Open the BlackBerry Administration Service.
- On the Servers and components menu, expand BlackBerry Solution topology > BlackBerry Domain > Component View.
- Click BlackBerry Administration Service.
- Click Edit Component.
- In the License Key section, type the CAL key information and then click the Add icon.
- Once you have added or changed a CAL, click save all at the bottom of the screen
