KB17644 - Unable to log in to the BlackBerry Administration Service or BlackBerry Web Desktop Manager


Environment

  • BlackBerry® Enterprise Server software version 5.0



Overview

When attempting to log in to BlackBerry Administration Service or BlackBerry® Web Desktop Manager, no result is produced, or the web page displayed is blank.



Cause

The BlackBerry Administration Service or BlackBerry Web Desktop Manager components require JavaScript® to be turned on in the browser to complete the login process.



Resolution

To configure Microsoft® Internet Explorer® security settings, complete the following steps:
  1. Open Microsoft Internet Explorer.
  2. Click Tools > Internet Options.
  3. Click the Security tab.
  4. Under Internet and Local intranet, click Custom Level.
  5. Under the Scripting heading, make sure that the Active Scripting field is set to Enabled.
