Overview
The BlackBerry Enterprise Server administrator creates a temporary wireless activation password in BlackBerry Manager. The following procedure outlines the steps required to create the temporary password.

- Open BlackBerry Manager.
- Select the Server name from the Explorer view.
- Select the Users tab.
- In the upper-right pane, highlight the BlackBerry smartphone user account to be activated.
- Expand the Service Access menu and click Set Activation Password.
- Set an activation password and expiry time, then click OK.
- Close BlackBerry Manager.
Additional Information
The Activation Password Expiry field is a counter that counts down the number of hours left from the Set Activation Time Limit set by the BlackBerry Enterprise Server administrator. For example: If the BlackBerry Enterprise Server administrator set the Set Activation Time Limit field to 48 hours, the Activation Password Expiry field will show 47 hours. (Count down 47:59).
