KB12027 - Turn off the camera on supported BlackBerry smartphones
Environment
- BlackBerry® Device Software 4.2. and later
- BlackBerry® Enterprise Server software version 4.1 for IBM® Lotus® Domino®
- BlackBerry® Enterprise Server software version 4.1 for Microsoft® Exchange
Overview
To use an IT policy to turn off the camera on supported BlackBerry smartphones, complete the following steps:
- Open the BlackBerry Manager.
- Select BlackBerry Domain.
- Select the Global tab, and then click Edit Properties.
- Click IT Policy.
- Under IT Policy Administration, double-click IT Policies.
- Select an IT policy, and then click Properties.
- Select Camera Policy Group.
- Set the Disable Camera option to the desired value.
Note: The default value of the Disable Camera option is False.
