Kiffin put together one of the best recruiting staffs in the nation. I would say that Auburn ranks darn near close to them in the conference. When you can recruit to Knoxville or Auburn, it says a lot about those staffs. Keep in mind that Coaches Luper and Trooper really know how to talk to recruits and they're two of the best in the business (and they can really, really coach, which is more than what most of Kiffin's staff of recruiting coordinators can say). Following the dead period (although the head coach still couldn't be included), we road around the state of Alabama as an entire staff (sans Chizik) in a Hummer limo pulling up in front of high schools to talk with the coaches and potential recruits. It says a lot when two coaches show up in a recruits home. Now imagine seven of them showing up in a limo in front of your school to talk with you (and having all of your friends see that attention being given). Sure, we could hand out money or cars (or scholarships for girlfriends) like the Tide does (LOL!) but lots of public (and legal) attention can also be a home run, as well.

...plus I think it helps that this staff actually cares, which is a huge plus. Considering that we're the current leaders for the #2 and #4 recruits in the nation, both of whom are being recruited by Luper , I believe, I'm quite happy with the potential for results. We were happy with being mentioned by Bryce Brown or Reuban Randel just a couple months ago and now we are atop a LOT of people's lists. Throw that in with a fairly loaded team, a great coaching staff (albeit unproven) and the potential for early playing time in the SEC... we have quite the gold mine on our hands, imo
