Before doing anything, make a full backup of the device.

Then go to Options >Advanced Options >Service Books and delete the [Desktop] Sync service book

Plug the device in to DM and clear the BBM database. Try BBM again

Go back to the Service Book page and hit Menu >Undelete. This should bring back the Sync service book.
